Solution Finder Achievement

The Achievement Solution Finder is the achievement for completing the puzzles in Silverwood, Freemarch, Gloamwood, Stonefield, Scarlet Gorge, Scarwood Reach, Droughtlands, Moonshade Highlands, Iron Pine Peak, Stillmoor, and Shimmersand. There is also a puzzle in Ember Island but it is not included in this achievement. I will not go into detail with the puzzles in this post in case someone is just looking for the location of a specific on and wants to find out how to complete it on their own. I will however, write up a solution for each puzzle that I'm able to write more details on in separate postings and link those solutions here once completed.

Until then, here are the locations for each puzzle and a little explanation on what needs done.

Silverwood - Puzzled at the Top of the World - 6415, 3155

There is a plaque on the tower you have to click on to start the puzzle. It will port you up and you'll see more plaques. To solve this puzzle, you will need to find the correct order to click them (each one ports you up or down a level) until you reach the top of a tower where you will receive a key and you'll be able to open the chest.

Freemarch - Sleeping with the Fishes - 5996, 6128 (Lake of Solace)

This puzzle at the bottom of the Lake of Solace, so you will need either a potion, rune, or buff to breathe underwater. The objective is pretty obvious once you see it.. You will need to light up all the lamps to receive the key to open the chest.

Gloamwood - Shield Wall - 4540, 2380

On the wall of the building at the back of Shadefallen Keep, you will see a plaque. Click this to enter into the keep and go down the stairs. On the wall of the first room you enter you will see items on the wall. Go down the next flight of stairs and you will see those same items on the wall in a different order. The objective is to make them match the pattern in the first room.

Stonefield - Spinning Plates - 4577, 4976

To complete this puzzle, you will need to light up the telescopes in the correct order in so that you can pull the lever. If you have a buff to make you run faster, it may be a good idea to use it.. however you will not have enough time to mount up and run to the next before the puzzle resets.

Scarlet Gorge - A Barrel of Laughs - 3603, 2776

This one is pretty much the same as the Gloamwood puzzle.

Scarwood Reach - Scarwood by Torchlight - 3629, 2755

For this puzzle, there are pillars and many torches. You will see three red lights on each pillar in the front. Clicking them will make the torches move around either clockwise or counter clockwise. In each ring of torches, there is an empty space. In order to solve the puzzle, you will need to have the empty space fall between the pillars of each ring at the same time.

Droughtlands - Don't Be Cagey - 8340, 6200

Here, you will find a circle of cages with lights on them, some changing color and some not.Your objective is to pick the correct color for each cage.

Moonshade Highlands - Go With the Flow- 6459, 1178

At the entrance to Hammerknell Fortress there is a small, sparkling object that looks like the rune vessels you collect for daily quests. Click on this and it will teleport you to the roof of Hammerknell where you will see the puzzle. There are hoses and regulators and a generator. The object of the puzzle is to power up the generator so that you can pull the lever.

Iron Pine Peak - Tracks in the Snow - 3750, 2270

This one can be frustrating at times, but it's fairly easy to figure out. There is a maze with a rabbit in it, and a rabbit waiting outside of it. Your objective is to chase the rabbit that's in the maze, out.

Stillmoor - Herding Bats - 1720, 2320

Bats in your belfry? This achievement takes place in one of the towers of Thalin Tor. Basically, you have to have at least one bat in each cage to solve the puzzle. It's easier if you have a partner there to help you, one to ring the bell and the other to cage the bats.

Shimmersand - A Classic Treasure - 6420, 7715

Ahh, again, probably the most difficult one. Can also be considered something like the game peg-solitaire or chinese checkers. The end result should be that the only stone left is in the center of the board.

Cairn Do Locations

The achievement Cairn Do is pretty fun even though its older now, taking place in the low-level zones. But for those of you who still seek the achievement, here's a list of Cairns for the achievement.

Silverwood - Miron Sternhammer - 6345, 2317

Freemarch - Bahar Farwind - 5900, 5030 (may become flagged for pvp attempting to reach this one as you have to climb the hill beside Meridian to reach it.)

Gloamwood - Nylaan Starheath - 5576, 3210

Stonefield - Nasreen Tahleed - 5328, 5363
                - Valta Cliffswind - 4667, 5030

Scarlet Gorge - Faraz Massi - 4658, 3093

Scarwood Reach - Ehgel Makil - 4075, 4443

Droughtlands - Mongo Vachir - 9161, 6927

Moonshade Highlands - Roma Gammult - 5348, 2239

Iron Pine Peak - Harwin Kalmar - 4975, 1860

Stillmoor - Thera Valnir - 1579, 1857

Shimmersand - Quara Chuluun - 7530, 7165
This cairn is the most difficult one to reach. Your starting position is in Gnawbone Valley at 7595, 7330. You will find a steep hill to climb, may take a few jumps to reach the top.

Once at the top in Golden Summit, you will see a dragon or two, level 50 elite. You can avoid them by skirting the edge of the cliff. Follow the path to the left. You will have to jump/cross over a few parts of the mountain. For example..

Once across this, you will drop down and climb along the somewhat narrow ledge part of the mountain. Careful though, one wrong step and you'll slide right off.

Go through the hole in the rock and the cairn is on the other side!

There is also a cairn on Ember Island that has a companion pet in it. It's called Wanton Cache, location 13592, 3848.

Follow the path up the mountain to Searing Brink on the south side (guardian side). There is a lava pit at 13679, 3771. You'll need to get onto the rock that's behind it. Climb most of the way up and then drop down onto the rock below. You may die, its a fair amount of falling damage. Run along that rock for a good ways and there will be a ledge on the right that you'll see the cache on. Here's a video for it if you're a visual person, it's not the most clear but it's helpful.

Cairn Do Too!

The achievement Cairn Do Too is a work in progress. So far, here are the one's that I, guildmates, and friends have found as well as help from Rift Zam listings. I Don't Get the Point Achievement

The achievement I Don't Get the Point is a Kingdom of Pelladane one that takes some very precise jumping skills to reach. To start with, jump onto the roof of Aurentine Palace from the coordinates 7685, 4658. From there, you'll run across onto the broken sky bridge. Run to the end where you will see two metal beams.

Walk out onto the beam of your choice.. mount up and do a running jump. You can use either beam, but your aim has to be very precise to land on the large jagged rock. Once you make it onto the rock, walk to the very point of it for your achievement. You will also receive the suffix title "the Pointless". Enjoy! :)

Intro and My Way or the Skyway achievement

My name is Highfallen Nyteangel. I play the game Rift and am a member of the guild Return of the Chosen on the US server Deepwood. We're a casual play guild and enjoy doing group activities and just having fun together. My two main toons are a cleric (Highfallen), and a mage (Nyteangel). Recently, the Storm Legion expansion was released and we've all been busy leveling up to the new cap of 60. Grinding definitely gets boring after a while so to break from the annoyance I started seeking out some of the new achievements in Brevane and Dusken (my focus mostly on Brevane at this time as that's where I've quested most). Many of the new achievements are actually quite fun and challenging to do. For example, one that I did last night in Kingdom of Pelladane:

I Don't Get the Point

That achievement takes some very tricky jumping to achieve. And one that I did today in City Core:

 - My Way or the Skyway

This achievement can be very confusing as many think the "skyways" you're to find are the broken TBTS bridges when actually they're just small connectors from the buildings in the public market area.

This is the first achievement that I will cover as it's the most recent.

My Way or the Skyway is a City Core zone achievement. To start, go to the Public Market area of the zone. At coordinates 6875, 10005 you will find a vine coming up through the ground. Run onto it and, when at its peak, turn to face the roof of the nearby building.

Jump over onto the tower. From there, run to the other end of the roof. Go to the right corner and jump onto the wall that extends out to another tower. From here you will drop down onto the first and second Skyway.

Jump onto the railing of the tower and drop onto the first skyway on the left. To receive credit, you will have to walk to the other end of it. Then, jump down onto the second skyway. Again, walk to the other end to make sure you receive credit. Run back to your starting point at the vine and jump back over to the roof and run all the way across to the middle tower. Looking down, you can see the zone puzzle that you need a book to complete.

You will have to drop down onto that area below. You will take about 13000 falling damage doing so, make sure you heal up. On the left side of the roof near the tower you can look down and see another roof and the skyway. Drop down onto that roof (again, you will take a good bit of falling damage), and walk out onto the skyway. And there you go!
